Dental trauma refers to injuries to the teeth and the supporting tissues surrounding them. These injuries can result from external factors, including falls, collisions, traffic accidents, and sports activities. Trauma can manifest in various clinical presentations, such as cracks, fractures, avulsions, or luxations of the teeth, and can significantly affect both oral health and the individual's overall quality of life. Dental injuries are more common during childhood and adolescence.
