Rosemary Rutherford was a prolific artist who captured the human condition and the beauty of nature across her works in many different media. She made over 40 windows for churches and other buildings in England and abroad. Sadly, she is today a largely unknown artist, but both her stained glass and her paintings are worthy of a wider audience, and greater promotion and publicity. Project Rutherford at the church was focussed on her buon fresco in the church tower with a caveat that the life and works of Rosemary Rutherford were promoted. This book goes towards this undertaking.

Her life story includes first-hand accounts from her family and the catalogue of her windows contains high quality illustrations and background material uniquely derived from the many churches that feature her windows – from Broomfield church where her father was the wartime vicar to churches in Yorkshire, Worthing and as far afield as New Zealand.
