This book presents the history, development and operational use of the Kūgishō Ōka, the purpose-built Japanese manned suicide attack aircraft known to the Allies as “Baka”. Designed to be carried close to its target by a bomber and released for a high-speed attack, the Ōka combined a compact airframe with rocket propulsion. The book examines its variants, technical features, carrier aircraft and combat missions, supported by archival photographs, colour profiles, scale plans and technical drawings.
