Shrublands are habitats of high interest for the knowledge of climax states. In an increasingly anthropized planet where forests are scarce, it is necessary to know the dynamics of vegetation for successful forest management. Anthropogenic action and climate change are affecting forest ecosystems, so it is necessary to promote conservation through knowledge of them. The book considers different approaches to the study of vegetation. Chapters on the various dynamic stages of vegetation are included.
